Waited to place an order and waited 10 minutes Each time the employee passed by she said I'll be with you in a minute. 10 minutes was my max. Left and went to crazy beach pizza and was waited on immediately and everyone loved the pizza. I'm done with 40th street pizza since this was the second time this happened.
I was a huge fan of the old management who cut fresh meat daily. The new folks use sub par frozen meat, the bacon wasn't bacon it was fatty gristle and undercooked. Will not refer any new people to this atrocious establishment.
Usually don't write bad reviews and try to give the benefit of doubt. We were the only ones in the place upon arrival. No acknowledgement when we arrived, had to ask if we just sit. Had to wait for someone to come over to give menus. First item ordered was breads sticks and she said sorry they were out. So we ordered a pizza and chef salad. Pizza came out first and waited an additional 5 minutes for the salad. Salad was ok, some cheese and meat, dressing was thick for Italian. Pizza was had little taste. May give it a second chance after tourist season.
We arrived around 5pm and were told that pizza would take at least 40 minutes. Because we were hungry, we ordered a salad and a sandwich to go. It somehow took more than 40 minutes just to get that! They were doing some takeout orders, but not many, and the restaurant only had a few customers. I have no idea how it could have taken so long. None of the servers apologized or offered any explanation as to why it was taking so long. The sandwich and salad we're fine, but we definitely won't be back.
We love this place! We eat here at least once or twice during our week long vacation to Mexico Beach. The pizza is amazing and the salad and fried mushrooms are delicious as well. Yes, there's a wait time. Plan accordingly. It's worth the wait in my humble opinion. They also take call in orders.
