One of the best kept secrets in Florida. We've stayed there for many years and have never been disappointed. Clean beach, clean room, clean pool for the kids, and great staff. I'm so glad our youngest ( 9 year old ) can experience a place like this learning what a beach experience should be.
I am only going to give a 3 this time.....we have stayed at El Governor several years during the fall/winter months. Always had nice stay. This time, I had to call the desk to request a toaster, then there was no hair dryer...I had to request one....then... we are big coffee drinkers....only one pack left in the room....when I called for more they brought 4 packs, never got any more. We will go back...it is our favorite place for a beach stay. Quiet, family oriented. Next time, I will take my coffee, my toaster and my hair dryer, then I won't have a problem.
Each room faces the Gulf with beautiful views. The rooms are good size and stocked with all the kitchen items you may need.
Stayed there for first time yesterday. All staff was very nice and helpful. Every room in main building has a beautiful view of Gulf and sunset with private balcony. Rooms were clean. Great little gift shop with wide variety and not outlandishly marked up. Rooms have stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes and coffee pot. Gift shop also sells some groceries and ice cream. :-) Will definitely be returning for longer stay.
Was a wonderful stay. Wiley at the front desk was great and treated my kids like family. Had an issue with the a/c in our room, which can be a problem with a baby and a toddler. They had it fixed within 25 minutes from the first phone call. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. Even included utensils and dishes for 4. Everything in the kitchenette worked well. And we had a beautiful view of a very clean beach from out balcony and a less than 3 minute walk from the room. The hotel was a very quiet and very pleasant stay.
The people were kind and helpful. I would definitely visit this motel again.
